INVITATION
TO JOIN A UKTI-SUPPORTED BRITISH TRADE MISSION
TO OMAN & ABU DHABI JUNE 2007
The Middle East Association has since 1961 been providing
information, advice and practical help to UK-based companies
seeking to do business in the Middle East, through a yearly
programme of in- and out-house activities.
The Oman & Abu Dhabi Mission is one of several taking
place this year. Its objective is to introduce new British
companies, and particularly Small and Medium sized Enterprises
(SMEs), to the Omani & Abu Dhabi markets and to help
existing exporters to strengthen their presence.
Oman is currently experiencing an economic boom. Record
levels of public revenue in 2005, and the ongoing
high price of oil during 2006, have brought a huge budget surplus
for the Omani Government. This not only enables the Sultanate
to press forward with its economic reforms but also
helps accelerate new development initiatives.

The UAE is the largest market in the Middle East for the UK
and the 10th largest worldwide and this Mission will visit the
Federal capital of Abu Dhabi where the economy is booming.
